Analyzing structural supply, micro-molecular properties, and global demand trends.
Polyethylene Glycol 1500 (PEG 1500) is a high-grade condensation polymer of ethylene oxide and water, characterized by its average molecular weight of approximately 1500 g/mol. Physically presenting as a white, waxy solid or flake at room temperature, it balances the fluidity of lower molecular weight liquid PEGs and the crystalline robustness of higher molecular weight PEGs (like PEG 4000 or 6000).
This mid-range molecular footprint makes it a critically valued excipient, binder, and structural agent in both pharmaceutical applications and precision industrial manufacturing. Its extreme water solubility, low volatility, chemical inertness, and non-toxic profile are foundational attributes driving its adoption across global chemical formulations.
“The dual-action capability of PEG 1500 to serve simultaneously as a non-volatile plasticizer and a water-dispersible binding agent underpins its necessity in standard pharmacopoeia-grade ointments, solid oral dosages, and performance polymer matrices.”
In the international market, the demand for PEG 1500 has expanded beyond traditional cosmetics and topicals to include high-tech sectors:
Why international sourcing managers rely on Chinese synthesis infrastructures.
China's direct access to ethylene oxide feedstocks from mega-scale refinery zones guarantees continuous material synthesis pipelines free from volatile pricing spikes.
State-of-the-art continuous polymerization loops regulate the Polydispersity Index (PDI), eliminating trace catalysts and VOC residues.
Strategic proximity to major ports like Qingdao, Shanghai, and Ningbo ensures optimal dry cargo storage, temperature control, and rapid export times.
By leveraging advanced process automation, Chinese chemical synthesis plants consistently deliver PEG 1500 matching the stringent specifications of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP-NF), European Pharmacopoeia (EP), and Japanese Pharmacopoeia (JP). The capability to control molecular weight distributions with high fidelity directly correlates to predictability in your end-use formulations.

Product Characteristics: Formaldehyde is a colorless liquid, easily polymerized, and readily soluble in water, alcohol, and ether. It is rapidly oxidized to formic acid in air, acting as a strong reducing agent. Its boiling point is -19℃, freezing point -118℃, and relative density to air is 1.067. Commercially, it is supplied in liquid form as formalin, a 37-50% formaldehyde solution with a small amount of methanol added as a polymerization inhibitor. The solution is milky white and has a foul odor. Formalin readily vaporizes, releasing formaldehyde gas. Its boiling point is 96℃, relative density is 0.815/-20℃, and flash point is 55℃.
Product Overview: Hexamethylenetetramine, also known as hexamine or HMTA, is a white crystalline powder produced by the condensation reaction of formaldehyde and ammonia. It is a versatile organic chemical intermediate widely used in industrial manufacturing, pharmaceutical synthesis, rubber processing, and analytical chemistry.
Product Features: A white powdery solid with a flammable odor of formaldehyde. It is a linear polymer of formaldehyde with no fixed melting point.
