Yanxatech System Industries Limited (hereinafter referred to as YANXA) is an established supplier of specialty materials in China. Starting from a small business unit in 2008, YANXA has steadily grown into an industry leader with a deep footprint in global supply chains. Guided by a mission to connect specialized manufacturing demand with optimized Chinese chemical supply, YANXA provides raw material solutions that comply with international safety and quality standards.
Our business model relies on close partnerships with top-tier research institutes and leading domestic production centers. We specialize in supply configurations across multiple pillars: liquid rubbers, high-purity industrial gases, metallic powders, and specialized organic intermediates. At YANXA, we operate under a strict business philosophy: Quality, Safety, and Efficiency prevail over all other metrics.

Hexafluoride compounds, specifically Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF₆), occupy a critical position in high-voltage electrical insulation and sub-10nm semiconductor fabrication. The exceptional properties of SF₆ derive from its highly symmetrical octahedral molecular geometry. A central sulfur atom is bonded to six fluorine atoms, creating a sterically shielded shell. This structure gives the gas high thermodynamic stability, chemical inertness, and a high dielectric breakdown strength.
In electrical transmission, SF₆ serves as a dielectric medium that prevents electrical arcing in gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), circuit breakers, and transmission lines. Its dielectric strength is nearly three times that of dry air, and it has an arc-quenching capability that is 100 times faster than air.
At the same time, Carbon Tetrafluoride (CF₄) and other fluorinated gases are widely used in dry etching processes within the microelectronics sector. These gases provide the fluorine radicals required to selectively etch silicon dioxide layers off wafer substrates.
"The high dielectric strength and chemical stability of Sulfur Hexafluoride are crucial for high-voltage energy grids. Achieving high purity is necessary to prevent internal arc faults and maintain system safety."
The pricing of China-origin Hexafluoride is shaped by several factors. At the base of the supply chain is the cost of acid-grade fluorspar (calcium fluoride, CaF₂), which is the source of hydrofluoric acid (HF). China holds a significant portion of global fluorspar deposits. Environmental controls, resource preservation taxes, and mining quotas set by the Chinese government can lead to fluctuations in the cost of raw fluorine compounds.
Beyond raw materials, energy costs play a large role in pricing. Generating elemental fluorine ($F_2$) requires the electrolysis of anhydrous hydrofluoric acid dissolved in molten potassium bifluoride, which is highly energy-intensive.
Additionally, purification technologies drive costs. Reaching semiconductor-grade purity (5N5 to 6N) requires cryogenic distillation and catalytic adsorption to remove trace impurities like carbon tetrafluoride, oxygen, and nitrogen. These processes increase the final cost compared to standard utility-grade SF₆ (99.9%).
The table below illustrates the physical and chemical properties of the primary fluorinated compounds supplied by YANXA, showing the differences in their applications.
| Chemical Name | Chemical Formula | Typical Purity | Critical Application | Packaging Method |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sulfur Hexafluoride | SF₆ | 99.9% - 99.999% | Dielectric medium in GIS & high-voltage switchgear | 40L / 50L High-Pressure Cylinders |
| Carbon Tetrafluoride | CF₄ | 99.99% - 99.999% | Silicon oxide etching & chamber cleaning in fabs | DOT-3AA / ISO9809 Standard Cylinders |
| Krypton (Noble Gas) | Kr | 99.999% (5N) | Exciplex lasers & high-efficiency lighting | 10L / 40L Steel Alloy Cylinders |
| Xenon (Noble Gas) | Xe | 99.9999% (6N) | Propulsion thrusters & semiconductor lithography | High-Pressure Aluminum/Steel Cylinders |
Sulfur Hexafluoride has a high Global Warming Potential (GWP of approximately 23,500 over a 100-year horizon) and a long atmospheric lifetime (approx. 3,200 years). This has led to strict international regulations, such as the EU F-gas phase-down and EPA reporting requirements.
The chemical industry's roadmap follows two parallel approaches:
A. Zero-Emission Reclaiming & Circular Management: The primary strategy for existing infrastructure is reclaiming SF₆ instead of venting it during maintenance. Reclaiming units extract, filter, and liquefy the gas. This removes moisture, air, and acidic decomposition products (such as sulfur dioxide, SO₂ and hydrofluoric acid, HF) and returns the gas to IEC 60376 purity standards.
B. Alternative Low-GWP Gas Mixtures: For new installations, manufacturers are testing alternative gases. These include fluoronitriles ($C_4F_7N$, or 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-2-(trifluoromethyl)propanenitrile) mixed with carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) or oxygen ($O_2$), as well as fluoroketones ($C_5$-ketone, decafluoro-3-methylbutan-2-one). These alternatives have a GWP of less than 1, helping to reduce the overall greenhouse gas impact of power distribution systems.
Customized chemical and gas delivery systems built for critical manufacturing processes.
Providing high-purity electrical-grade SF₆ gas that matches IEC 60376 requirements. Our cylinders feature double-valve systems to minimize moisture ingress and prevent leakage during high-voltage commissioning.
We supply ultra-high purity (5N5 to 6N) Carbon Tetrafluoride (CF₄) and inert carrier gases like Argon and Nitrogen. These gases provide consistent etch rates and clean chamber evacuations for semiconductor fabrication plants.
Ensuring compliance with international pressure vessel regulations, including DOT-3AA, EN1964, and ISO9809 certification. We offer complete tracking, hydro-testing records, and safety data sheets for all shipments.
Our product portfolio covers a range of chemical materials, from standard aldehydes to atomized alloys, serving various manufacturing processes.
Because Fluoride compounds are categorized under hazardous material frameworks (UN 1080 for SF₆, Class 2.2 non-flammable gas), international procurement requires attention to regulatory compliance. Our regional offices and distribution partners help manage regulatory steps, such as EU REACH registrations, chemical declarations, and national hazardous chemical databases.
To manage risks related to storage pressure and logistics safety, YANXA uses high-strength seamless steel cylinders manufactured according to ISO 9809-1 and DOT-3AA standards. These cylinders undergo hydrostatic pressure testing and ultrasonic inspections to verify structural integrity. Every batch of gas is shipped with a certified Certificate of Analysis (COA) specifying levels of impurities like moisture ($H_2O$, max 1 ppm), air (nitrogen and oxygen, max 10 ppm), and total acidity ($HF$, max 0.1 ppm).
Our quality control operations follow an ISO 9001 certified program. We monitor every step of the gas manufacturing process, from raw anhydrous hydrofluoric acid validation to final cylinder filling.
Using gas chromatography (GC) with thermal conductivity detectors (TCD) and discharge ionization detectors (DID), our quality control technicians analyze trace impurities down to parts-per-billion (ppb) levels. This ensures that semiconductor clients receive gases that meet or exceed SEMI guidelines. Additionally, cylinder washing, vacuum drying, and heating procedures are used prior to filling to prevent internal corrosion and maintain gas purity.
